We are delighted to announce that the 2017 Chelmorton Festival will be running from 10th-16th July. From Scarecrows to dog shows, the village has something exciting for everyone to enjoy.
All week the village will be decorated for the festivities and a treasure trail will be available to help you explore all of Chelmorton. The Church and Institute will host exhibitions, and the institute will also be serving tea and coffee for thirsty visitors and residences alike.
There will also be a host of special events happening throughout the week. The full programme is still to be finalised, but here is a taster.
Monday 10th July Is your chance to join in with the ever popular festival quiz
Tuesday 11th July Sees the return of the thrilling crime panel, this year including Stephen Booth
Wednesday 12th July We are delighted to welcome the Tideswell Singers for the first time
Thursday 14th July Enjoy a renowned stone walling course with David Bagshaw
Saturday 15th July Is full of activity. Starting with village stalls, children’s activities, a live band, the famous Chelmorton dog show and a chance to get your dancing shoes on at the evening village party.
There are also lots of ways you can get involved, from decorating your house or making a scarecrow, to sharing your stories of Chelmorton’s past big freezes, and it all helps to make the festival fantastic. If you would like any more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
