We are delighted to announce that the ever popular Chelmorton Festival returns again, from 16th- 22nd July.
From bunting to telephone box book shops, scarecrows, to yarn bombing and exhibitions to competitions, the village will become a hive of activity, with something for visitors and residences alike to explore and enjoy.

Monday 16th July Test your knowledge at the ever popular festival quiz in The Church Inn at 9pm
Wednesday 18th July Join in the Beetle Drive at 7pm in the Institute
Thursday 19th July During the day, enjoy a renowned stone walling course with David Bagshaw, please visit http://fivewells.co.uk/drystone-walling-courses/ for more details, or a historic walk through Chelmorton village with Harry Mayo, meeting outside the church at 2pm.
In the evening the famous Burbage Band will be performing at 7pm, in St John Baptist Church, tickets priced at £7
Saturday 21st July Enjoy a day packed full of activity, including village stalls, children’s activities, a live band- “Simply lay back”, the famous Chelmorton dog show, a vintage tractor parade and a chance to get your dancing shoes on at the evening village party, with band ” The Vipers”
Sunday 22nd July Treat yourself to Strawberries and Cream on the lawn, from 2.30 to 4.30 pm accompanied by “Simply Lay back”, and then join a “songs of praise” Service at the Church at 6.30 pm
There are also lots of ways you can get involved. From decorating your house or making a scarecrow, sending your photos in to Match the baby, showing off your talents within the crafts exhibition, or entering the tray garden competition, we would love you to be involved and it all helps to make the festival fantastic.
